L2Mana is a custom Lineage II Interlude project built around obtaining complete equipment from monsters. Its official feature guide describes a setup without recipes, crafting materials or spoil, with equipment progression based on drops. A collections system adapted from later chronicles provides another progression path by granting character statistics for collecting specified items. Automated hunting is prohibited, while playing multiple clients is allowed.

The documented Interlude configuration uses x12 experience and skill points, x1 Adena and custom item drops. Characters and subclasses start at level 80, and class changes and subclasses do not require quests. A Community Board shop provides services, including a Noblesse purchase option. The guide lists automatic skill learning and offline shops, while Seven Signs and premium accounts are disabled.

Competitive activities include castle sieges, Olympiad and tournaments for different group sizes, alongside Team versus Team, Deathmatch and Capture the Flag events. The published Olympiad rules limit equipment to +6 and rotate heroes weekly. Community discussion takes place on Discord, and the website maintains rules, news and a drop list.
