L2Gold is a Lineage II project with custom character progression and equipment systems. Its official gameplay guide describes an Interlude implementation in which new characters begin in the Ivory Tower basement with starting items. Town NPCs provide buffs, class transfers and other services, while raid bosses are a source of distinctive weapons and jewelry.

Character development includes a rebirth system: eligible characters return to a lower level and exchange a Book of Rebirth for an additional skill. The separate rebirth guide allows up to three rebirths and explains that previously acquired rebirth skills remain after the reset. A custom Noblesse path combines rebirth progression with items collected from specified raid bosses.

Equipment progression also uses Mantras and a refining system for S-grade armor and jewelry. Refining improves equipment in stages, and fully refined armor can progress to Apella. The project documents custom boss jewels with different defensive and combat bonuses. These systems give players additional character and equipment goals alongside leveling, crafting and raid encounters.
