L2Cygnus is a Lineage 2 Interlude project built around GvE faction combat. Its official feature guide describes Angels, Nature and Demons competing through PvP zones, events and boss encounters. Characters begin at level 74, and a rebirth system adds another route of character development.

Progression is organized into seasonal stages called ages. As a season advances, new equipment becomes available and lower-tier items become easier to obtain. Weapons and armor can be upgraded from B grade toward S grade. The project also documents attributes, PvP item upgrades and an enchantment system with checkpoints that protect attained enhancement levels.

Daily, weekly and one-time achievements reward participation and completed objectives. Adena comes from PvP, events, achievements and raid bosses, while event medals provide an additional progression currency. Other listed activities include castle sieges, Olympiad and multiple event formats. The client uses an interface based on Essence while retaining Interlude as the underlying chronicle, and selected classes receive additional skills.
